Netherlands based symphonic metallers Epica, featuring Ariën van Weesenbeek behind the kit, are currently recording their new studio album at the Gate studio in Wolfsburg, Germany. Ariën completed recording all drum tracks in four days. After only one day in the studio, the band stated:\"Ariën is doing great so far. The beast already nailed five songs; he\'s been drumming for about 12 hours today!\"

Producing the follow-up to 2007\'s \'The Divine Conspiracy\' is Sascha Paeth. Simon Oberender is the studio engineer. The upcoming cd is tentatively due before the end of the year via Nuclear Blast Records.
