Steve Tate, globally known among drummers as Steve Washington, has been jailed for four years for holding up a bank. Steve stole £1,200 (about $2,160) with a gift-wrapped music stand, pretending the object he pulled out of a guitar case was a gun. He also pretended he had a bomb strapped to his leg.

The drummer needed the cash to pay off a £400 drug debt and to cover his rent, he claimed.
Steve spent five years touring with boyband Take That during the height of their fame in the early 1990s. After he left the band, he toured with Texas and Whitney Houston. He also taught part-time at Sir Paul McCartney\'s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
But Steve eventually ran out of work. He was left without money after turning to drugs in recent years.
The drummer-turned-bank robber was caught near his home in Folkestone, Kent, after he was seen stuffing money from the guitar case into his pockets on a nearby beach.
