Patrick is best known for his work with progressive band Eternity X as well as North Jersey\'s Smother Theresa. He is replacing live session drummer Jay Horvath (photo) and studio drummer Jason Dunkerley. The band hasn\'t had a permanent drummer since John Sasso announced his departure during a tour in 2003. Single Bullet Theory write in a statement:

Single Bullet Theory\'s forthcoming disc, \"The Killing Floor\", is set for release mid-2006. The CD will feature both Darrin and Jason on drums. The album was produced by Single Bullet Theory at Angry Chair studios and features 10 blistering tracks.

Engineering duties were handled by longtime Single Bullet Theory studio drummer Jason Dunkerley, with additional engineering by Carlos Alverez (Shadowdance).

The record can be best described as a return to the \"Route 666\"-era Single Bullet Theory and is far less experimental then 2004\'s \"Behind Eyes of Hatred\".

After several US tours with Soilwork, Hypocrisy, Killswitch Engage, King Diamond and Entombed in 2002 and 2003, SBT hit the road again in the spring of 2005 with Amorphis, Into Eternity, and Beyond The Embrace.
