A Dallas, Texas based Def Leppard tribute band called Pyromania are looking for a new drummer. More specifically, they're after someone who can also fysically impersonate orgininal Def Leppard timekeeper Rick Allen: a drummer with one arm.
"We wanted to set the record straight that we have nothing to do with this ad and we are not looking for a drummer and feel it is in very bad taste! We have much respect for Rick Allen and Def Leppard and We have a great love and honor for their music. Please do not confuse us with this complete discusting and disrespectful behaviour."
Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen lost his left arm in a car crash in 1986 but returned to the drum stool for the band that same year. He recorded his drum parts for the band's 1987 'Hysteria album', a record that went on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide, using a custom fashioned, predominantly foot triggered electric drum kit.
