Black Label Society (BLS) drummer Craig Nunenmacher has departed from his band. No official reason has been given for the split. The only brief message from the band reads as follows:\"Craig Nunenmacher has quit the band... we will have a new drummer very soon.\"
Craig joined the band in July 2000 while playing for Crowbar, who were touring with BLS at the time. Original BLS drummer Phil Ondich left the band mid-tour, and to keep the tour on the road, Craig filled in for Phil, pulling double-duty in both Crowbar and BLS for the rest of the tour. A few weeks into that tour, he was asked to join the band permanently.
Black Label Society are scheduled to release a new studio album later this year through E1 Music.
