The past five years Smith has focused on (singing) Indian percussion rhythms. During his 45 minutes clinic he explained step by step how these rhythmical phrases are build up and how to make them your own.

• How to fill an even measure in an Indian style (a single stroke, followed by three groups of five; there you have it, a full measure in sixteenth notes)
  
• To improve yourself in playing complex odd measures by counting and understanding them

Key to learning this is breaking it up in smaller parts and taking your time to study it.

During the clinic he played a number of tracks of \'Vitalization\', his band Vital Information’s new cd.
