Paiste announces the launch of quite a few new cymbals. There are a few very interesting new in the Masters models, and the PSTX series also have some new effect cymbals and Cajon and Cajon Hats models.
here is a first rundown of Paiste's new that we will be covering at the NAMM Show 2018.
New Masters models
20", 21" and 22" Dry Rides
20", 21" and 22" Extra Dry Rides
18", 19" and 20" Extra Thin Splashes
8" and 10" Dark Splashes
22" Dark Crash Ride
Masters Dry Rides The Dry Rides are easily controlled cymbals with short harmonic decay that articulate even with delicate, fast figures. The responsive sound has a dry, dark, warm wash. The matted shimmer of the darkish surface suitably expresses the charismatic sound of these cymbals with a corresponding look.
Masters Extra Dry Rides The Extra Dry Rides are even drier project the stick sound into the foreground. Extra Dry Rides resemble precision and control.
Masters Extra Thin Inspired by Jim Keltner's ideas for sound and function, Paiste's Sound Development created a warm, soft crash. It's all about subtlety with these cymbals.
The swift decay even supports ride playing but keep their sensitive response.
Masters Dark Splashes The 8" and 10" Dark Splashes are models with dark character, soft feel and quick response.
Masters Dark Crash Ride With the 22" Dark Crash Ride Paiste adds a larger alternative to the popular 20" model. It features the same buttery feel with a deeper, darker wash. The crash sound is forceful.
The Masters series is an exquisite collection of laboriously hand-crafted cymbals made of CuSn20 bronze to achieve superior sound ideals in various musical genres.
Masters are made by hand from CuSn20 bronze using traditional methods that have remained unchanged in over half a century.
PSTX Cajon & Cajon Hats models PSTX Cajon cymbals were developed to match the typical sound characteristics of the Cajón, and are well playable with hands, rods, brushes or light sticks.
PSTX 12" Cajon Hats The thin top of the PSTX 12" Cajon Hats respond rapidly and have a bright, dry sound and clear definition. The heavy bottom cymbal makes a crisp, clear chick. Also works for drummers as an auxiliary Hi-hat.
PSTX 16" Cajon The PSTX 16" Cajon is a multifunctional cymbal that responds quickly with an explosive, somewhat dirty crash sound that fades swiftly.
The inner area of the surface features the characteristic PSTX style hole pattern of varying diameters, while the outer area does not. This way it is still comfortable playing it by hand or with brushes or rods.

Splash Stacks The Splash Stacks are small, sharp and nasty. They sound short, like biting accents. Splash Stacks consist of brass tops and 2002 bronze bottoms.
The tops feature the characteristic PSTX style hole pattern of varying diameters that cause the trashy sound character. The 2" smaller bottom cymbals feature an inverted bell and the contact area between the two cymbals is minimal. Splash Stacks also function well as a noisy X-Hat.
20" PSTX Swiss Medium Crash The 20" PSTX Swiss Medium Crash complements the PSTX series with an exotic trashy crash of medium weight for more volume and added attack.
