Brady drums are already active for 35 years. A small but steady company making drums that everybody loves. The characteristic sound of Brady has its origin in the Australian wood that is used for the shells, and the combination of those plies. Kelly Brady, daughter of founder Chris Brady, takes you through all the drums the company had on display at NAMM 2015. In four videos she shows you Shannon Forrest's Marri Ply Fiddleback Marri gloss drum kit, the snare collection at the booth and a Brady Baby Bebop kit with a beautiful hand lacquer finish.
The company can build all you want. Except for 13" toms. Although Brady has a strict no-13"-policy, the 13" rack tom you see in the first video on Shannon Forest's kit is the only one in the world. These drums have been used on many Nashville recording sessions, and can be seen and heard on the Donald Fagen, Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald 'Dukes of September' tour recordings. Shannon Forrest is Brady's only and exclusive endorser. He playing with Toto means a lot to the Australian drum manufacturer; years back, Chris Brady and Jeff Porcaro were good friends.
Kelly Brady shows all the snares Brady had on display at NAMM 2015. A selection of Ply and Block Snare Drums from Jarrah ply and Sheoak timber with different finishes. Brady also alternates blocks of Jarrah and Sheoak, calling it their Hybrid snares.
