Vater Percussion has announced new models for 2015, to be presented at the Winter NAMM Show next week. Among the new sticks are signature models of Tim "Herb" Alexander (Primus) and Josh Devine (One Direction) plus new models in Vater's Nude Series, as well as as some great accessories such as the Marching Double Quivel and Buzz Kill sound dampening system for drums and cymbals.
Tim Alexander's signature model VMTAW is a stick with a length of 16" (40.64cm) and a diameter of .635" (1.61cm). It features a 2B sized grip and is made from Sugar Maple for a lighter weight to move around the drums quickly. The small round tip helps to articulate cymbal definition. List price: $17.29
The Josh Devine model VHJDW drumstick is a real solid feeling stick that packs a punch from around the drum kit with a length of 16 3/4" (42.55cm) and a diameter of .605" (1.54cm). This model has a list price of $17.29.
Vater's new Marching Double Quiver attaches to snare drums with adjustable velcro straps. Made from tough nylon, it provides easy access for quick stick changes. It's also great for use on traditional drumset. List price is $17.99
Nude Series 3A (model VHN3AW) has a length of 16" (40.64cm) and a diameter of .590" (1.50cm). List price is $15.29. Nude Series 1A (model VHN1AW) is a bit longer with a length of 16 3/4" (42.55cm) and a diameter of .590" (1.50cm). List price: $15.29.
Vater's own sound dampening system for drums and cymbals, called Buzz Kill comes in two options: the standard Buzz Kill model VBUZZ for $14.95, and Buzz Kill Extra Dry (model VBUZZXD) for $15.95.
In 2015 Vater is also introducing a brand new line of mallets and marching / orchestral implements. More details coming up soon as Drummerszone will report straight from the NAMM Show floor!
