Mario Schmitt's first highlighted product is Meinl Percussion's Professional Bongo Cajon. It delivers the sound one can expect from a traditional cajon, but it has two playing sections, for high and low pitched sounds, so traditional bongo patterns can be played on it as well. The Bongo Cajon, made from rubber wood, can be held between the knees or on your lap and sounds surprisingly close to genuine bongos. The professional version has a forward sound projection.
Mario's second highlighted product is the Meinl FX10, an electronic foot pedal for percussionists. The Oak and steel box features then different sound options that you can add to your beat. Cycle through the effects with a touch of the toe button. It’s almost a whole percussion kit in a box. Two of the sounds, tambo and cabasa, can be played in double time, giving a 16th note feel by triggering the sounds with both toe and heel positions on the foot pedal.
Mario's third highlighted product are Meinl Percussion's Cajon Castanets. These lightweight Castanets come in three sizes (small, medium, large) and with self-adhesive tape. You can easily stick them anywhere to add new musical colors to your palette.
What's new?
Among the many new Meinl percussion products that are the freshly created, are the Headliner Series Congas, Bongos and Cajons, African Style Djembes, Journey Series Rope Tuned Fiberglass Djembes, Marathon Series Turbo Timbales, Timbas and other samba instruments, a Tampeiro plus a ABS Pandeiro with Napa head, and Irish Bodhran, a Kanjira, a Foot Tambourine and many, many other products.
