Due to a "serious injury", Testament's regular drummer Paul Bostaph is unable to play the group's live shows. For the recordings of Testament's upcoming release, 'Dark Roots Of Earth', Gene also stepped in for Paul. The new album also boasts contributions from Chris Adler of Lamb of God.

Gene says he's looking forward to touring with the band:

"The dudes were kind enough ask me to join them for a couple weeks on this tour with Anthrax and Death Angel. I'm super stoked to do the shows. It's going to be a great time."

In related news: Testament recently announced that they will again be offering special VIP/Meet & Greet Packs on their upcoming trek.

The band offered these packs on 2010's American Carnage Tour, which presented fans with a unique and exclusive chance to spend time with the band before doors opened, take photos and get autographs.
