We have some good and some bad news to announce about the upcoming Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place in Wacken, Germany from August 4-6, 2011.

First the bad news: due to US tour commitments, John Boecklin and his fellow band members of DevilDriver have been forced to cancel their appearance at this year's edition of WOA.
Now the good news: Danko Jones has been confirmed for Wacken 2011.
After their last successful gig in 2006 the Canadian garage rock icon returns to Wacken. Danko Jones and his comrades in arms - bassist John Calabrese and drummer Dan Cornelius - will play songs of their newest release 'Below The Belt', as well as several classics.
The festival billing currently features well over a hundred acts.
