The Musikmesse is Europe\'s leading trade fair for musical instruments, sheet music, music production and music business connections. Unlike its major competitor, the NAMM Show in the US, the Musikmesse is also open to the general public.
Tickets can be printed out on the spot, which saves visitors the need to queue at the box office on arrival at the fair. Online tickets are personalised and authorise the holder to travel to and from the fair using local public-transport services operated by the RMV public-transport authority.
Moreover, tickets purchased in advance and via the online ticketing service are less xpensive than purchasing tickets on arrival at the fair.
Over 77,500 trade visitors from the musical instrument sector – manufacturers, dealers, professional and amateur musicians – made their way to Frankfurt for the last event in March 2010.
The Musikmesse is complemented perfectly by the Prolight + Sound trade fair, which is held at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre at the same time. Additionally, Musikmesse visitors have free entry to Prolight + Sound, International Fair of Technologies and Services for Events and Entertainment.
