\'The Classical Conspiracy\' was recorded in Miskolc, Hungary, on June 14 2008 during the Miskolc International Opera Festival.

The album offers more than two hours of Epica songs and Epica’s adaptations of classical masterpieces and movie-scores. The band performed their set accompanied by the orchestra and choir, including some tracks that had never been played live before.
