Living Colour, featuring luminary drummer William Calhoun behind the kit, will release a new dvd on May 8, 2007. The disc is titled \"On Stage at World Café Live\". The upcoming dvd was recorded during their live show on December 16, 2005 at World Café in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Living Colour was formed in New York city in 1983 by guitarist Vernon Reid. The group signed to Epic Records in 1987 and released their first album \"Vivid\" in 1988.
Stylistically their music is a creative fusion influenced by guitar-based rock, funk, heavy metal, free jazz, hardcore punk and hip hop. Living Colour are linked to the funk metal movement of the late 1980s typified by bands such as Fishbone, Jane\'s Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More, and 24-7 Spyz.
Living Colour\'s original line-up, including bassist Muzz Skillings, reunited for the first time in 17 years to play a short set on September 22, 2006 in Woodstock, New York. The occasion was a private party drummer Jack DeJohnette threw for his wife Lydia.
Previously Living Colour had completed a short European tour (in August 2006) with Doug Pinnick of King\'s X filling in for singer Corey Glover, who was unable to make the dates due to a scheduling conflic. Living Colour performed another weeklong European Tour in December 2006.
