With the recording process led by producer Vinny Wojno (Kreator, Machine Head) Trouble have planned a tentative June release via Escapi Music in Europe and Century Media in the U.S.
Olson and his fellow band members have recorded 15 songs for the new album.
Due to the follow-up to 1995\'s \"Plastic Green Head\", the group\'s previously announced \"unplugged\" EP is now \"on hold\" and will be completed at a later date.
In related news: Trouble will release their long-awaited live DVD, entitled \"Live in Stockholm\", on March 27 via Escapi. The disc was recorded in November 2003 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Trouble was formed in 1979 by drummer Jeff Olson, vocalist Eric Wagner, guitarists Bruce Franklin and Rick Wartell, and bassist Sean McAllister. Drawing deeply from Black Sabbath for inspiration (with occasional nods to the psychedelic sounds of the late \'60s thrown in for good measure), the band forged an uncompromising brand of classic metal all their own, made more unique by their gloomy down-tuned riffs and spiritual, often openly religious lyrics.
