Industrial metal pioneers Ministry have been confirmed for the 2006 edition of the Wacken Open Air festival.

It will mark Ministry\'s only German festival appearance this summer. The metal festival is set to take place August 3-5, in Wacken, Germany.
The billing so far includes Aborted, Atheist, Born From Pain, Celtic Frost, Children Of Bodom, Ektomorf, Emperor, Finntroll, Gamma Ray, In Extremo, Nevermore, Primal Fear, Six Feet Under, Soilwork, and Subway To Sally.
In related Ministry news: the band will release their new album, \"Rio Grande Blood\" on May 2. The follow-up to 2004\'s \"Houses Of The Molé\" was produced by Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen at 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, Texas, mixed at The Saltmine in Mesa, Arizona, and mastered at DNA Mastering in Studio City, California.
The album features drummer Mark Baker (photo). However, Ministry frontman Jourgensen has recently confirmed that Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison will be sitting behind the kit for Ministry on their upcoming US tour, which is scheduled to kick off in early May.
