The Hollywood Walk of Fame counts many stars and star number 2,301 is for glam rockers Mötley Crüe. The band received their star on January 25, 2006 in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the band\'s founding.\"Listen, it\'s nice to be recognized for your work. We are from Hollywood. You know that\'s where we started. It\'s where we played our first gigs. In a sense it\'s kind of fitting. You know we fit in there with all the dead movie stars.\"
Mötley Crüe formed in 1981 and were part of the Hollywood rock scene of the time.
The group resume their Carnival Of Sins 2006 tour on February 10 in Columbus, Georgia, and are reportedly in talks for a co-headlining summer tour with Aerosmith.
Mötley Crüe also plan to begin recording a new studio album in May.
