Keijser 18 keeps on expanding: only several weeks ago Slagwerkkrant magazine joined forces with Slagwerkwereld.com, the Dutch online community for drummers and percussionists.
Keijser 18 is co-publisher of Interface, magazine for musicians and producers. Together with LandGraphics, bureau for graphic design, they also issue three more publications for musicians: Zing Magazine, Akkoord Magazine and Keyboard Plus.
It is this very co-operation, which goes by the name De Inzet bv, guitarist magazine Gitarist was bought from its former publisher, Octogon Uitgevers bv.
Gitarist is all about guitar heroes and describes the newest trends in guitars, basses, amplification, recording and effect gear. Furthermore it offers a wealth of workshops and background articles.
Tjako Fennema, publisher/editor in chief, and Co Koenen, managing editor, will be working out of the offices in the heart of Amsterdam where Keijser 18 and LandGraphics settled three years ago.
Gitarist is published monthly. Single issues cost € 5,20, subscriptions € 51. February 2006 edition (out February 2nd) will be the first one published by De Inzet bv.
