The band\'s collection will be released as two albums with the concise title, \"Home Grown! The Beginners Guide to Understanding the Roots Volumes One and Two\".
The two discs feature classic songs from The Roots\' six albums with Geffen and the now-defunct MCA Records: 1995\'s \"Do You Want More\", 1996\'s \"Illadelph Halflife\", 1999\'s \"Things Fall Apart\", 1999\'s \"The Roots Come Alive\", 2002\'s \"Phrenology\" and last year\'s \"The Tipping Point\".
The hit collection also includes cuts from their first effort, \"Organix\"; and features guest appearances by Mos Def, Jill Scott, Common, Raphael Saadiq, D\'Angelo and Roy Ayers. The CDs also include rare remixes and previously unreleased tracks.
