The first band are the socially conscious French-Canadian crust punks The Sainte Catherines, featuring Rich LeBoutillier on drums. They are hailing from Montreal, from a place where they call French Fries, Frites, and notFreedom Fries.
They describe their band as \"Mötley Crüe taking a bath with Tragedy while Hot Water Music argues with Leatherface about the state of punk rock in
2005... Oh yeah, your mom is there too.\"
And you thought the French were cultured and decent, oh no. The guys will have a record out in early 2006 and will be touring a lot because they\'re basically homeless bums. Which is a good thing.
Next up are The Loved Ones from Philadelphia, with Mike Sneeringer (photo) behind the drum kit. Featuring ex-members of The Curse and Kid Dymanite, these young rockers have already hit the ground running with an EP on Jade Tree and an upcoming tour with the Bouncing Souls.
They\'ll be recording in October with Brian McTernen and Fat Wreck hopes to have their debut full length out early 2006. They\'re very likable people too, after all, their name is The Loved Ones.
