James Taylor's long-awaited new album 'Before This World' will be released on June 16. It features James his self-named All Star band, including our very own legend Steve Gadd. A full documentary of the recordings is accompanying the album: There We Were: The Making of James Taylor's 'Before This World'. The 30 minute documentary is included with the Limited Edition Deluxe Book and cd/dvd editions of the new album. All on the album is available for pre-order, along with CD and vinyl editions.
First named guest artists on the album are 16-time Grammy Award winning artist Sting (The Police), and 18 Grammy Award winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Dave O'Donnell took care of production and engineering. His references include artists like Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock and Ray Charles.
James Taylor knows only one thing for sure:
"I stil love to make music. I still love to record. I love to write songs and play them for audiences.
I want to continue doing it as long as I can."
