Green Day played their first concert in more than two years prior to their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this weekend.
In anticipation of the ceremony the award winning pop punk group played a career-spanning, 35-song show featuring several special moments.
Greenday performed several rarities under their original moniker, Sweet Children, as their original drummer John Kiffmeyer (nicknamed Al Sobrante) rejoined his former band mates on stage during the first part of the set.
During their proper Green Day set, after current sticksman Tré Cool took over from John, the band invited Tim Armstrong on-stage to cover some Operation Ivy and Rancid songs.
