A new, dedicated area on the third floor at the show's home, London Olympia, is being created which will feature 12 Yamaha electronic drum kits, TV screens and headphones for every student for a fully interactive experience.

Education Zone
In association with Drummer magazine, MikeDolbear.com and Yamaha, the Education Zone is just one of several new key areas to be added to this ever expanding event which promotes the art of drumming and percussion. Kicking off, beginners are given the opportunity to learn the art of playing drums with Mike Dolbear affiliated drum school teachers. In addition to this, tutors will be offering scheduled lessons specific to genre, providing tips and advice on playing your favourite rock, jazz and pop tracks.

There will be five lessons per day, commencing on the hour from 11.00am with the final lesson commencing at 3pm, duration 30 minutes per class. There is limited availability, so registration is a must for this experience and is limited to one individual per day, per class, to ensure that as many visitors as possible can enjoy these free tasters.

30 minute lessons on offer:

• 11am: A total beginner's drum lesson with Gareth Burnett
  
• 12pm: Phrases in jazz style with Chris Whitehouse
  
• 1pm: Rudiments around the kit with Danny Pearson
  
• 2pm: Beginner/intermediate approach to samba with Paul Hose
  
• 3pm: Special Guest
