This year's Maryland Day, on April 26th, 2014, may go down as the loudest in hostory of the University of Maryland.
The Maryland Center for Health Equity, in the School of Public Health, has teamed up with the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center to present the 'Health Equity Drum Circle: Drum Beats for Health and Wellness'.
They hope to mobilize over 1,400 hand drummers from across the state to create an awesome hand drum circle that's big enough to set a new Guinness World Record.
The center aims to raise awareness and promote healthy living through the beat of the drum.
The event will be held on April 26, 2014, at Byrd Stadium at the University of Maryland, College Park. The world record attempt will start at 2 pm.
