Bruno Mars rocked the drums at the Super Bowl 2014 halftime show in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Bruno opened up with a drum solo that involved funk grooves, and tight rolls with military precision on snare and cymbals.
Halfway the biggest sports event of the year in the United States, taking place at at MetLife Stadium, a spotlight beamed down on Bruno in front of a sweet DW drum set with Sabian cymbals. The singer picked up the drumsticks and rocked out pretty hard.
Next, Bruno Mars moved to the mic, teamed up with his live band Hooligans, featuring Eric "E-Panda" Hernandez on the drum throne (also DW and Sabian), and performed a quick set of his greatest hits.
That transitioned into the Red Hot Chili Peppers' featured slot, with another round of great grooves and funky drums delivered by Chad Smith behind his Pearl drum set and Sabian symbals.
