Jon Dette, who previously drummed with Slayer, Testament and Anthrax among others, has joined Iced Earth for the remainder of the band's European tour with Volbeat.
Jon, who made his live debut with Iced Earth on November 6 at O2 World in Berlin, Germany, is taking over for Raphael Saini.
Raini filled in during the summer festivals, the recording of Iced Earth's new album plus the club leg of the current tour.
Earlier this year Iced Earth parted ways with drummer Brent Smedley for "personal family reasons".
About Jon Dette Jon was sought-after session drummer in the 1990s but took some time off in the early 2000s. He returned in 2011, did some work with Heathen and Animetal USA, followed by a stint with Anthrax and a tour with Slayer after Dave Lombardo got fired from the band.
