Kevin Mulligan, drummer with Brampton, Ontario-based power pop group The David Love Band, is devastated. His custom drums were stolen from his vehicle parked in the driveway of his home on Mozart Crescent.
Approximately $2,000 in cymbals were taken, along with the drums, handmade by Wells Custom Drums in Brantford, valued at approximately $5,000.
Kevin says it took him 25 years to assemble the cymbal collection and insurance won't cover the theft.
The band had just finished playing at the RibFest in Gage Park on the Saturday of the Labour Day weekend. That night, the drums were stolen.
Anyone with information about the stolen drums is urged to call Peel police, 22 Division detectives, at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233, or Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
