Spanish death metallers Avulsed and their drummer Ricardo "Riky" Mena have decided to part ways. According to a statement by the band, Ricardo is no longer the band's drummer as of March 20, 2012. They've split up due to "differences on how to deal with different internal issues within the band".
Due to this, Avulsed is also forced to cancel their performance at Thrashway Fest (Oviedo) and Barroselas SWR Fest (Portugal). Comments the band:
"We just want to thank Riky for his eight years of total devotion and profesionalism as a musician and his friendship, that we'll keep, of course. And to wish him the best both on personal and professional on musical matters."
