Lee Ritenour is calling out to non-professional drummers and offering a chance to play on Lee's 2012 'Concord Records' album. The winner also receives a Berklee College of Music scholarship, scores a Concord Records deal, wins Yamaha percussion instruments, and performs at the Crown of the Continent Guitar Workshop and Festival in Montana, among other prizes.
The total value of four prize packages is over $600,000 - not to mention the priceless opportunities in the music business.
Here's what you have to do: simply submit two YouTube videos (no camera stops, no backing tracks) of you playing a solo arrangement, duet performance, or trio performance that showcases your skills as a musician.
Submissions can fall under the genres of rock, jazz, fusion, blues, or contemporary.
Register at www.sixstringtheory.com and make sure you've submitted your videos by May 1, 2012.
The top six drum applicants will be evaluated and judged by drumming greats Dave Weckl, Harvey Mason Sr, Oscar Seaton, Simon Phillips, Sonny Emory, Will Kennedy, Chris Coleman, and Gary Novak.
