Until June 14, the public will be able to vote for their favorite drummers. The 10 videos with the most viewer votes will win cool prizes, and move on to the semi-final round of the competition.
Have your skills viewed by drumming pros
Sabian artists on the Warped Tour will then judge the videos, and determine the grand prize winner. Guest judges may include Chris Gaylor of The All-American Rejects, Derek Grant of Alkaline Trio, Rich Russo of Andrew WK, Ryland Steen of Reel Big Fish plus Kris Allen, and Tony Thaxton of Motion City Soundtrack.
Stacey Montgomery-Clark, Vice President of Marketing for Sabian, states:
\"The chance to have your skills viewed by drumming pros like Chris Gaylor and Ryland Steen, not to mention the opportunity to hang with them on tour, is thrilling for musicians. We’re excited to continue our longstanding partnership with the Warped Tour, and to provide drummers with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their talents and meet their idols.\"
Prizes
One grand prize winner will win airfare and accommodations for one to Boston, two all-access passes to the Boston Warped Tour stop, a one-on-one meet and greet with Sabian artists, their choice of a Sabian Performance pack of cymbals (choose from AAX Stage, AA, HHX, HH and Xs20) and a Sabian BacPac cymbal bag set.
Nine runners up will receive a 16-inch Sabian crash cymbal, and as a bonus, the contestant with the most votes that does not win the grand prize will also get his or her choice of an 18-inch Sabian cymbal.
