On April 26, 2007 the new drum kit of Dutch Rock drummer Jamie Westland was presented to the press. De drummer of the band Di-rect showed his new pimped drums to the press, presented by DW importer Gewa Benelux. The result: a new, white varnished, and with Pin-Ups design, seven piece drum set. On a warm autumn day in Amsterdam, in the PC Hooftstraat at The Boutique, the drums were presented with artwork of Pin-Ups, created by the Dutch artist Sooi.
The toms are made of Maple wood and varnished in white. They have a Verticle Low Timbre: which means that they have a lower and deeper sound. This because the grain of the veneer, which is applied in a vertical direction, makes it \'tension free\'. A lower pitch is the result.
