According to Gretsch Drums, be-bop is as hip as ever and that\'s why the drum manufacturer has embellished the hip vibe by introducing a new drum kit in Gretsch\' New Classic series.

Featuring proportionate Gretsch-formula maple shells, this drum-set offers a vintage Gretsch tonality while giving these drums their own distinctive sound.
The drums have traditional “bop” sizes. Proportionate shells increase in thickness as shell diameters increase: the 12” tom is 6 plies, 5.7mm thick. The 14” floor tom is 6 plies, 6.6mm thick and the 18” bass drum is 6 plies, 7.5mm thick.
Snare and toms have die cast hoops, all drums have Silver Sealer shell interiors.
Classy appointments include vintage styled tube lugs, the “ITS” integrated tom suspension system and an Ivory Marine Pearl finish. They\'re also available in Deep Cherry Gloss and Vintage Glass Nitron cover.
All be-bop kits are shipped with Evans coated drumheads on top and Evans clear bottoms. Unfortunately, at the moment of writing there\'s no information available about the retail prices for these kits.
