Michael Barsimanto (Freddie Hubbard, Andy Summers, Duran Duran) and drummer/percussionist Michael Duffy (Ozomatli, Steve Soto) have joined Innovative Percussion's artist roster.
About Michael Barsimanto Just some of the artists who've benefited from Michael Barsimanto's talents include jazz greats Freddie Hubbard, David Liebman, Mark Isham, and Jean Luc Ponty, as well as rock legends Billy Preston, Andy Summers, and Keith Richards, and Academy-Award winning actor Johnny Depp, to name just a few.
As a leader, Michael's bands Groove Congress and One Big Drum remain active in the Los Angeles area, and he continually pushes the envelope of innovative creativity.
About Michael Duffy Arriving in Los Angeles in 2003, Michael Duffy landed his first gig with Grammy winning Latin alternative band, Ozomatli. Extensive touring of the US and Europe followed. By 2007, he caught the eye of punk rock icon, Steve Soto from The Adolescents, and was soon replacing Breeders drummer Jose Medles on Steve's side project named Steve Soto and the Twisted Hearts.
