Longtime music industry veteran, Pat Brown, has been named Executive Director of the Five Star Group of independent drum shops.
Pat's background includes 7 years at Fender and 27 years at Pro-Mark, most recently as Director of Sales Worldwide.
Pat is also a former co-director of the Percussion Marketing Council, and past winner of the Percussive Arts Society's President's Industry Award.
The Five-Star Drum Shops group is a non-profit organization of independently-owned specialty percussion stores in North America that are dedicated to advancing the art and science of drumming.
In making the announcement, the Five Star board states:
"Pat has been a fixture in the percussion industry for years. He knows the vendors and the store owners and, most importantly, the percussion business. It's a natural fit."
