Swiss cymbal manufacturer Paiste introduces two new PST8 Cajon cymbals, aimed at percussionists who play the cajon and want to enrich their playing with cymbal sounds.
The Cuban cajon, developed from an exotic drum, was initially intended to be used primarily for percussionists but this instrument gained immense popularity with drummers. Thanks to its handy dimensions and its moderate volume, it is perfectly suited for unplugged performances or spontaneous jam sessions.
12" Cajon Hats Paiste's new 12 inch Cajon Hats are an easy pair of cymbals to control that never overlap the woody and warm sound of a cajon. Cajon Hats will respond whether you play them with rods, brushes, drum sticks or drive 'em with your foot on a hi-hat stand.
16" Cajon Crash Paiste's new 16 inch Cajon Crash is said to have a fast response, balanced volume, and quick decay to compliment the dry and percussive sound of the cajon. The cymbal is light enough for accenting with a bare hand and dry and defined when used with the tip of the drum stick, rods or brushes.
All of Paiste's PST8 Cajon Cymbals are crafted from the legendary 2002 bronze, refined through traditional hand hammering and perfected with the unique handmade Reflector finish, one of the hallmarks of Swiss workmanship.
