On July 28, 2011, Dutch drummer Alvin Manuhuwa was sentenced to two years of jail with eight months probation. Also, the court decided on a restraining order for two years to protect both minor girls he was accused of having sex with. In The Netherlands, lascivious battery on a minor victim is considered a very serious form of sexual abuse, with high repercussions before a court.

The court ruled Manuhuwa abused two girls of 14 and 16 years old. The official ruling of the court was: "He has misused the admiration of both girls for his talent for playing drums."
The artist abused the two girls in a rehearsal room as well as in his home in Zwolle, Netherlands.
The 35-year-old drummer was kicked out of his current band Massada as soon as they heard about the pending lawsuit.
The drummer has played with several highly regarded artists in The Netherlands. He was a full member of the Moluccan Dutch band Massada, as well as of Dragonfly, and he has played with the young talented Dutch singer Ninthe.
Besides the jail time he is currently serving, Alvin has to pay a compensation fee of 1,500 euros to one of the victims. The other girl didn't claim a compensation for legal damages on her part.
