That's why the San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal veterans have recruited Gene Hoglan (currently of Fear Factory), who previously played on Testament’s 1997 release 'Demonic'.
Lamb of God's sticksman Chris Adler is set to make a special guest appearance on a couple of bonus tracks.
Testament are recording their new album with British producer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Machine Head). The upcoming album is slated for a late 2011 release.
Paul Bostaph's condition hasn't been explained but he's expected to rejoin the band for their future endeavours.
In the past Paul has sustained a few injuries which as a drummer had put him out of business for a while, including a chronic elbow injury and an injury to his knee while playing soccer. He underwent surgery and did not touch a drum kit for over a year.
Paul is currently endorsed by PDP drums and Paiste cymbals.
