The medical emergency prompted the Casey's son to get help from neighbors next door, who called an ambulance as well as police.
Luckily, the 52-year-old drummer was taken to a nearby hospital in time and was revived.
Unfortunately, however, Casey Royer was arrested a short time later. He is currently being held on $120,000 bail.
Casey is facing charges with one count of child endangerment and one count of being under the influence of drugs.
This could lead to his son taken away from Casey's care.
The drummer launched his career in 1979 at age 21, keeping the beat for Social Distortion, the Orange County punk outfit fronted by Mike Ness. Casey left the group a year later and played with the Adolescents as well as fronting his own band, D.I.
Casey has returned for shows and recordings that have reunited the Adolescents over the years, and he also played with ADZ in the early 1990s.
