In 1986 Robert Rivkin left The Revolution, in part because of Prince's increasing interest in electronic percussion. The drummer was replaced by Sheila E.
Since then, Rivkin has mainly made his living as a producer. He worked with artists such as Wendy and Lisa, and Boy George.
