Former Mae Shi and current Signals drummer Jacob Cooper, who filled in during Wavves’ October tour, has been recruited as Billy's successor.
Billy Hayes and bassist Stephen Pope joined Wavves in November last year after quitting their old gig as the rhythm section behind Jay Reatard.
The duo quickly made an impact on the band’s sound with Hayes also singing back-up vocals and contributing two songs to the recent 'King of the Beach' album.
