Legendary metal drummer Gene Hoglan will team up with Mike Keneally, Bryan Beller and Brendon Small on the road as the real live version of Dethklok — the stars of the Adult Swim animation series Metalocalypse.

The group will open for ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead on their US tour this fall. Although the tour schedule has not been announced, this Adult Swim-backed trek will include free shows at 12 colleges (open to the public) beginning on October 29, 2007.
Mike Keneally (guitar) has played with Frank Zappa and Steve Vai, among others, and is also the National Music Director for the Paul Green School of Rock. Bryan Beller (bass) is part of the Mike Keneally band and currently tours with Steve Vai.
Debut album On September 25, Adult Swim will bring out Dethklok\'s first album, \'Dethalbum\', featuring a guest appearance by Gene Hoglan. To coincide with the premiere of the second season of Metalocalypse on Adult Swim and release of Metalocalypse Season 1 on dvd, a regular and a deluxe cd edition of \'Dethalbum\' will be released.
The deluxe edition will include a second disc featuring seven extra tracks, the animated video for the single Bloodrocuted, and the premiere episode from Season 2 of Metalocalypse.
Synopsis Dethklok is the biggest, baddest, and most famous heavy metal band in the world. The quintet, consisting of Americans Nathan Explosion (vocals), William Murderface (bass), and Pickles the Drummer, along with Scandinavian guitarists Toki Wartooth and Skwisgaar Skwigelf, have to deal with their fame and other situations in their lives, all the while being monitored by a government organization out to destroy them.
In related news about Gene Hoglan: the drummer will play on singer/songwriter Mr. Plow\'s next record. According to Hoglan, Mr. Plow is a solo acoustic artist who specializes in \"a down home pornographic punk-c&w-comedy hybrid that is bound to melt all your little hearts.\"
