With a recording career spanning forty years, and encompassing over 800 television and movie soundtracks with luminaries such as James Newton Howard, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner and Danny Elfman, Joe Porcaro is synonymous with the Los Angeles recording scene.
His resume includes work with Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan, Freddie Hubbard, Don Ellis, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, Natalie Cole, The Monkees, Gladys Knight, Madonna and Toto to name a few.
Along with Zildjian artist Ralph Humphrey, Joe was one of the founders of Los Angeles Music Academy (LAMA), where he is still actively teaching today.
