Although nothing is being officially confirmed, it seems that drummer Chris Pennie has left the Dillinger Escape Plan. Rumours have it that the band are working with Gil Sharone in the studio, as they search for a permanent replacement.

Currently, Chris Pennie is working in the studio with rock band Coheed and Cambria, due to the fact that regular drummer Joshua Eppard has left the band. Pennie is stated to appear on the new album (\'Good Apollo I\'m Burning Star IV; Volume II: No World for Tomorrow\') for a majority of the tracks.
Chris Pennie is also lending his talents to the predominately electronic band Idiot Pilot on their upcoming album \'Wolves\'. The drummer appears on the album on several tracks.
Chris who? Chris Pennie started playing drums at the age of 13, and at age 16 decided he wanted to pursue music seriously. He spent two years at Berklee College of Music and received a degree in Music Synthesis, focusing on electronic music composition and manipulation.
