Vater artist Matt Sherrod, former drummer for American alternative rocker Beck, has scored the coveted seat as a full-time member of the recently reunited Crowded House.\"It\'s a go with Matt Sherrod for the drumming chair. A big thank you to all who put their hand up, and sorry we didn\'t get to play with everyone but time and geography were against us. We are about to do some serious rehearsing so we can be very good.\"
In related news: former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, now a full member of Modest Mouse, has also been working on songwriting with Neil Finn. Marr has collaborated with Finn on a number of tracks for the new Crowded House album \"Time On Earth\", to be released later in 2007.
