Osmose Productions has set October 30 as European release date for the new Melechesh album, entitled \"Emissaries\". You can view the album cover art and hear a sample song here.

In January 2006 Melechesh entered Woodhouse studios in Germany for four weeks to record their fouth album. In February 2006 the band mixed the album for the first time and it was obvious the man hired to do the job was not a suitable choice. Hence the album was mixed for the second time in May and June. \"Emissaries\" was mastered in July and is now finally ready for release.

More Thanatos news: the long-running Dutch death/thrash metallers will re-release their first three albums as a limited-edition collector\'s box set via Chinese label Area Death Productions. The box set will contain three double-cds, including loads of unreleased stuff including live stuff and rehearsals from the eighties (!), as well as a t-shirt, poster, sticker, postcard, and more. State the musicians on their web site:

\"One of the most important things though is that the \'Angelic Encounters\' album will be re-mixed for this release, so hopefully we can create a better sound than the original version. The three double discs will also be available separately, but the complete box set is the real shi-aat of course!\"

The box set is expected to be released before the end of this year.

Thanatos recently suspended the recording sessions for its fifth full-length album, \'Justified Genocide\", at Excess studios in Rotterdam, Holland after the group\'s record label, Greece\'s Black Lotus Records, announced that it was closing its doors. Three songs from earlier sessions are currently being used as a promo CD to generate interest from new labels.
