Don met Jean-Philippe Borra and Marcos Tachikawa, respectively the Export Sales Manager and Artist Manager of Orion Cymbals during the International Music fair - Musikmesse 2006 in Frankfurt, Germany, in order to sign his contract.

Don Mckenzie has been using Orion Cymbals before this, since he received some models from the hands of the talentous Brazilian heavy metal drummer, Fernando Schaefer (also an Orion Cymbal\'s artist) during a show.
