Inspired by Phil Collins, the drummer started a solo career as a singer after the group disbanded in 2005. His self-titled debut album will be released by Lost Highway Records on June 27, 2006.
O\'Reagan had joined The Jayhawks in 1995, replacing previous drummer Ken Callahan.
