\"I heard the sad news a couple of days ago. Doc always has been an excellent and tight drummer. I think he has been inspirational for many death metal drummer. I wish Peter and the rest of Vader much strength with the loss.\"
SauroN skinsman Ludas is shocked when confronted with Doc\'s passing away:
\"I had not heard it yet! It\'s awful, Doc was a superb drummer.\"
Detonation drummer Thomas Kalksma acknowledges Krzysztof \"Doc\" Raczkowski as one of his sources of inspiration:
\"Doc set a new standard for fast blast beats with Vader. You always remember that, because it stimulates you; you want to get to the same level. He pushed death metal drumming to a new level inspiring young drummers today who want to be able to play the same. It improves death metal.\"
Nasum drummer Anders Jakobson previously stated on Blabbermouth.net:
\"I just learned that ex-Vader drummer Doc passed away at age 35. Now, I wasn\'t really a huge Vader fan — I mean I liked their music but I didn\'t listen to them much. But I can safely say that Doc was a kick-ass drummer and it saddens me that he died so young. (...) At least Mieszko [Talarczyk, Nasum guitarist/vocalist, deceased victim of the Southeast Asian tsunami] now got a killer drummer to start grinding in heaven with! I imagine they would create some killer stuff up there!\"
Drummer Tony Laureano (Nile, Dimmu Borgir, Angel Corpse, etc.) has posted the following message regarding the passing of Doc:
\"It was quite shocking, to say the least, and totally unexpected. It is a very sad thing that has happened. Doc was a really nice guy, and a phenomenal drummer. He was a wonderful character whom I had the pleasure of sharing several tours with, including my very first one almost 10 years ago. I was a total rookie who showed up for a European tour with the absolute bare minimum, but even though I had just met him, he loaned me quite a bit of his personal gear without a second thought. And that is the type of guy he was, if he could help you in any way, he would gladly do so. Over time, I began to hear about some personal problems he was having, and I always hoped that he would perservere. I last saw him in October of 2003 when we were once again touring together. While he physically displayed signs of some personal struggle, he was in high spirits, and honestly trying to better himself. He told me about his impending fatherhood, and how he was looking foward to a new chapter in life. At the end of that tour, I didn\'t get a chance to say goodbye, but I always figured I would catch up with him at some other point as had always been the case. I would have never though that it would be the last time I would ever see him.\"
Hannes Großmann, drummer of German tech death metallers Necrophagist, tells drummerszone.com:
\"I can hardly believe it. It really makes me sad, because he was way too young to die. At the age of 35 nobody deserves death, especially when you\'re a killer drummer like Doc. I didn\'t know him personally, but he seemed to be a very nice person. Though I\'m not a die-hard fan of Vader, they shourly inspired me, since it was one of the first metal bands I heard playing extremely fast stuff with blast beats. Rest in peace, Doc!\"
Today, August 24, 2005 Krzysztof \"Doc\" Raczkowski is buried. The funeral is taking place nearly Doc\'s home city, Olsztyn, in Poland.
