Swedish metal-band Scaar have announced the addition of new drummer Kristian Huotari to their line-up.\"We\'ve been busy trying out a couple of drummers, and we have now finally found what we\'ve been looking for, in our new skin-basher Kristian Huotari. Kristian has been playing in numerous different bands in Eskilstuna for the better part of his life.\"
Scaar was formed in early 1999. Drummer Richard Holmgren joined shortly thereafter to complete the first steady line-up. However, in May of 2005 the band announced Holmgren\'s departement:
\"We are very sorry to inform you that we have parted ways with our drummer Richard Holmgren due to various reasons and we are currently looking for a commited drummer to fill the seat.\"
Scaar used Matte Modin (Dark Funeral/Defleshed) as a temporary replacement before finding a steady replacement in the form of Kristian Huotari.
Huotari will make his live debut with Scaar on August 18 at Club Distortion/Pub Anchor in Stockholm.
Scaar recently released their latest CD, \"The Second Incision\", via Holland\'s Karmageddon Media.
